Session Insights

API Description
Use Cases
  • Last-Mile Congestion: A busy home or office Wi-Fi network, or a crowded cell, degrades a video conference. The session insights score drops, and the operator pinpoints where the congestion is. It then recommends a fix that fits the access type, such as Wi-Fi MultiMedia (WMM) prioritization on Wi-Fi or a quality on demand session on cellular.
  • Network Impairments: Problems in the operator’s fixed or cellular network raise latency, jitter and packet loss. The operator correlates the drop in score with its own network telemetry and starts remediation, so users stop blaming the application.
Benefits
  • Network Visibility for Applications: Developers learn whether poor quality comes from the local Wi-Fi, the cellular or fixed network, or the application. They no longer have to guess from client-side metrics alone.
  • Actionable Recommendations: The operator suggests concrete corrective actions. Examples include enabling WMM on Wi-Fi, starting a quality on demand session on cellular, adjusting the application configuration, or requesting a service improvement.
  • Faster Root-Cause Resolution: Operators get application-level quality signals, which shortens troubleshooting and cuts support calls.
  • Better End-User Experience: Problems are found and fixed while the session is still running, which means fewer dropped or degraded calls.
  • Consistent across CAMARA: The KPIs match the CAMARA application profiles, so one integration fits the wider communication quality family.
